ISL 2021/22: 5 best rated players in the tournament so far this season

The 2021/22 edition of the Indian Super League (ISL) is currently underway and as usual there have been some players who have been better on the pitch than others and here, we take a look at the five best rated players in the ISL this time around.

1. Greg Stewart (Jamshedpur FC) - 8.08 rating
Jamshedpur FC signed Greg Stewart last summer and the Scot has been a brilliant addition to the side, taking this years edition by storm, scoring five goals in nine appearances so far.
The 31-year-old has played for the likes of Rangers in the past and his side will hope that he can continue his good form in front of goal, if they can make a splash in the league this season.
2. Bartholomew Ogbeche (Hyderabad FC) - 7.80 rating
Bartholomew Ogbeche has been a regular presence in the competition for the past few years and it came as a surprise that Mumbai City let the striker leave for Hyderabad FC and he has been his usual brilliant self in front of goal, netting eight in eight appearances so far.
The 37-year-old who has represented Nigeria in the past is Kerala Blasters all-time highest goalscorer, with the player key to Hyderabad's fortunes this season.
3. Alberto Noguera (FC Goa) - 7.70 rating
Alberto Noguera is another top player who has played for some big clubs in the past as he played for Atletico Madrid while also representing a number of other clubs in Spain.
The midfielder signed for FC Goa in September, 2020 and since then has been a terrific presence in the center of the park, leading them to 2021 Durand Cup trophy.
4. Jorge Ortiz (FC Goa) - 7.57 rating
FC Goa got one of the best steals in ISL history when they managed to sign Jorge Ortiz on a free transfer in August, 2020 with the Spaniard going to become one of their most important players.
The 29-year-old has so far made 29 appearances for the club, scoring eight goals so far, though the club has struggled to make an impact so far this season.
5. Ahmed Jahouh (Mumbai City FC) - 7.48 rating
The first Moroccan footballer to play in India, Ahmed Jahouh is a defensive midfielder by trade with his good performances leading to FC Goa to extend his contract after initially signing him on loan.
The 33-year-old soon moved to Mumbai City FC and immediately led them to the domestic double of the ISL League Championship and League Winners Shield last season.
