Serie A champions, Inter Milan have reportedly identified Manchester United's, Anthony Martial as a replacement for Romelu Lukaku, should the striker make a return to Stamford Bridge in the summer transfer window.
Lukaku is understood to be closing in on a return to Chelsea in a move understood to be worth £98million and that Inter would be willing to let the Belgian leave in order to ease their financial woes.
Should Lukaku leave, then Inter will look to land Martial on a season-long loan deal - though the Sun claims that United would prefer to accept a permanent deal rather than a temporary one for the striker.
However, the Red Devils would be willing to send the Frenchman to Inter on a 12 month loan deal as long as it includes a requirement to buy after the loan spell ends, though again they would only agree to part ways with Martial for a figure close to the £50million they initially paid for him six years ago.
Martial for his part still has three-years left on his current contract which sees him earn £200,000-a-week, and considering the good relationship the two clubs share - it is likely that the deal could push through.
The 25-year-old who moved to Old Trafford from Monaco in 2015 has had a mixed time at the club so far, making 258 appearances so far, scoring 78 goals and helping the club win one FA Cup and the 2017 Europa League.
