Indian Super League 2020-21 Preview: Mumbai City FC Face FC Goa in a Cracking Encounter

The sixth match of the 2020-21 Indian Super League sees Mumbai City FC take on FC Goa at the Fatorda Stadium on Wednesday.
A lot of familiar faces will feature against each other including Mumbai's coach Sergio Lobera who, until last season was the heart and soul of the Gaurs.
Moreover, ex-Goa players like Mourtada Fall, Hugo Boumous, Ahmed Jahouh and Mandar Rao Dessai will feature in the blue shirt against their old club.
FC Goa have faced Mumbai on 14 occasions in the ISL and have beaten them seven times, while Mumbai have managed only four wins against the Gaurs. Goa have scored 33 goals in games against Mumbai, while the Islanders have netted 14 times in those encounters.
“We need to be positive and competitive in every game and win the three points, be it Mumbai or any other opponent. Of course their coach is an ex coach of Goa and some [former] players of Goa are [now] in Mumbai, but our mentality will be the same: win the three points and be competitive,” FC Goa coach Juan Ferrando said at the pre-match media interaction.
Mumbai City FC on the other hand have a point to prove after their surprise loss to NorthEast United. The Islanders have won just one of their last five games against the Gaurs and this could be their biggest chance to start improving their head-to-head record.
