The 2020/21 season of the Indian Super League (ISL) has been exciting with the group stages coming to an end as the clubs battled it out to confirm their place in the last-four. As usual, there have been a few players who have starred so far and here, we take a look at the five players who are the best rated players so far this season.

1. Aridane Santana (Hyderabad FC) - 7.85

Aridane Santana is a striker who guarantees a decent goal return and it was no different this season with the 33-year-old scoring 10 goals in 14 games for Hyderabad FC this season. Despite his goals, his side failed to make it to the last-four, falling short by two points in the group stages.

2. Hugo Boumous (Mumbai City FC) - 7.83

Hugo Boumous played for FC Goa prior to joiningMumbai City FCand their loss has been Mumbai's gain with the 25-year-old registering seven assists in 13 games in the group stage. Mumbai topped the table and go into the semifinal stage as the definite favourites to win the title this time around.

3. Roy Krishna (ATK Mohun Bagan) - 7.68

The highest goalscorer in the current edition and the favourite to win the Golden Boot, Roy Krishna has been in devastating form for ATK Mohun Bagan and has played a key role in their success this season. The 33-year-old has scored 29 goals in just 40 games for his club and if he continues in the same vein, there is no reason why Bagan cannot win the title come the end of the campaign.

4. Jorge Ortiz Mendoza (FC Goa) - 7.68

Jorge Ortiz Mendoza has played for the Atletico Madrid B side in the past and he has brought in all his skills and talent to India and has been a key player for FC Goa. Usually playing as a right-winger he has scored six goals for his side this season and will look to do better in the semifinal stage.

5. Mourtada Fall (Mumbai City FC) - 7.68


The highest rated defender in the league and the highest scoring defender in Indian Super League history, Mourtada Fall has been immense at the back for Mumbai City FC this season. Mumbai finished on top in the group stages and Fall was one of the main reasons for them to do so.
