The Serie A is widely considered as the best and most competitive league in the world, with a number of great players plying their trade in England. As we head into the business end of the 2021/22 season, there have been some who have been prolific in front of goal as compared to the others.

1. Ciro Immobile (Lazio) - 19 goals
Ciro Immobile remains one of the most underrated strikers in the world, which is perhaps unfair considering that he continues to top the goalscoring charts in the Serie A for a considerable period of time.
The Italian who has already won three Golden Boot awards so far, is on track to add another such honour to his tally come the end of the season.

2. Dusan Vlahovic (Fiorentina, Juventus) - 18 goals
Dusan Vlahovic has emerged as one of the best young strikers in the world over the past two years, with the 22-year-old starring for Fiorentina, with his performances leading to Juventus to splurge a large amount of money to sign him in January.
The Serbian has already opened his account for the Bianconeri and it will be interesting to see whether he can turn around the club's fortunes.

3. Giovanni Simeone (Cagliari, Hellas Verona) - 12 goals
Giovanni Simeone is the son of Argentina legend, Diego Simeone who is currently on loan at Hellas Verona from Cagliari for whom he has been a key addition.
The 26-year-old has been impressive for his new side and netted two goals against Juventus, for the second time in his career, as Verona won 2–1.

4. Tammy Abraham (AS Roma) - 11 goals
AS Roma signed Tammy Abraham from Chelsea last season and it has paid dividends for them as the England international has netted 18 goals in all competitions for them so far, of which 11 have come in the league.
The 24-year-old has no doubt made his case to be a regular in the England national squad ahead of their major international assignments.

Hailed as Argentina's next great hope, Lautaro Martinez has been key to all of Inter Milan's success in recent times, with his performances catching the eye of a number of top European clubs.
While he is not having the best of times on the pitch in the last couple of months, he is too talented and will look to bounce back strongly soon.
