Juventus chairman Andrea Agnelli has insisted he does not have any regrets over the club's decision to sign Cristiano Ronaldo.

Ronaldo left Real Madrid, where he spent nine seasons at, and joined Juventus in the summer of 2018, and the Portuguese international has been playing for the Turin-based outfit since.

Ronaldo instantly hit the ground running in Italy and has been impressive for the Serie A giants. However, Juventus have not quite had the success they hoped they would have with the arrival of the five-time Ballon d'Or winner, especially in the Champions League, where they have not gone beyond the quarter-final stage since the 2018-19 season.

There have also been criticisms aimed at Ronaldo, and some have even suggested Juventus were wrong to spend big and sign Ronaldo in 2018. Agnelli, however, disagrees with such claims, insisting he would 'do it again'. The Juventus chairman also defended the decision to appoint Andrea Pirlo as their manager.

"Wrong to get Ronaldo?" Agnelli told Corriere dello Sport. "Never. I'd do it again tomorrow morning. And Pirlo too. Stability allows us to follow the path of growth by investing in young people and in coaches, even those in their first experience."
