Harry Kane England's team-mates reportedly believe that the striker could refuse to return to pre-season training with Tottenham Hotspur in order to force a move to Manchester City, amid links of a potential transfer.
Kane had confirmed that he was looking to make a move away from the north London club in order to win titles in an interview with Gary Neville before the 2020 European Championship and it was reported that City had an bid of £100million turned down by Daniel Levy.
Tottenham's new manager, Nuno Espirito Santo has reiterated that Kane remains a Spurs player and plans talks with the club’s star man when he joins up with the rest of the squad for training. However, the player fellow England team-mates believe that he may just end up not reporting for pre-season in order to force a move.
“Harry is our player, period. No need to talk about anything else. Now is the moment for Harry to recover his energy, to rest. When he comes again, we will have time to speak. Harry’s one of the best footballers in the world, and he’s a Tottenham player," Nuno said in his first public appearances as Tottenham coach.
The 27-year-old remains one of the best strikers in the world, with the striker unlucky to not win a trophy of note considering that he has scored 221 goals in 336 appearances in all competitions for Tottenham so far.
