Gary Neville has hit out at Manchester United's "tone deaf" players, managers, and executives for going on a "global tour" following their Champions League exit.

United were knocked out of the Champions League by Atletico Madrid last week, and have since been spotted at various events around the globe.

Interim boss Ralf Rangnick was seen attending England's Test match against the West Indies in Barbados, while Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho were seen attending events in Dubai.

United's chief executive Avram Glazer was spotted at the Bahrain Formula One Grand Prix, discussing cricket with Dubai Sports Council head Mansoor bin Mohammed.

And former Red Devil, Neville, did not hold back from slamming the players and executives for this weekend's "global tour" following their recent exit in Europe.

"I remember a time when United players, managers and executives wouldn’t be seen in their local Italian after a draw at home let alone getting knocked out of Europe," Neville tweeted on Monday morning.

"This last week we’ve seen a global tour of F1, concerts, cricket and UFC events. This lot are tone deaf!"

"They can go on holiday, relax, take time off," he added. "However, if you’ve been knocked out of the Champions League, FA Cup, [the] League Cup and [you are] floundering in the league, I wouldn’t think it’s too much to ask to lie low a bit!"

United are set to end yet another season without silverware having been knocked out of the FA Cup and Champions League, and currently find themselves battling for a top-four spot in the Premier League.
