Gareth Bale has offered his view on Cristiano Ronaldo's return to Manchester United and Premier League, and believes the Portuguese superstar will do well in second spell with the Red Devils.

Bale and Ronaldo are former teammates, and were part of the famous BBC trident at Real Madrid. The trio of Benzema, Bale and Ronaldo were one of the best in Europe, and they were key to Real Madrid's success in Europe as they won four Champions League titles during between 2013 and 2018.

Ronaldo's first stint at Man Utd propelled him to superstardom, and Bale believes the 36-year-old, whose 'goalscoring ability is matched by no one else' will succeed in his return to Premier League.

"I'm sure he'll do well. He's proven it before in the Premier League, so he understands the league. He's done everything there is in football. His goalscoring ability is matched by no one else," the Real Madrid and Wales star told Sky Sports [via Manchester Evening News].

"[I am] excited for it like everyone else."

Meanwhile, Ronaldo has begun his training with Man Utd, and could make his second debut for the Red Devils in their Premier League clash with Newcastle United on September 11.
