Former Juventus striker Nicola Amoruso has slammed Cristiano Ronaldo for caring 'too much about his image' after the Bianconeri were eliminated from the UEFA Champions League by FC Porto.

Juve won the game 3-2 but crashed out on away goals after the aggregate scoreline was set at 4-4. Porto's winning goal came courtesy of Sergio Oliveira and he slammed his low-shot below the wall and through Ronaldo's legs.

And Amoruso didn't hold back in his critique while speaking to Sky Italia as quoted by Goal.

He said, "I would never put him [Ronaldo] in the barrier on free kicks. He is afraid of receiving a ball in the face because he cares about his image."

Amoruso isn't the first Juventini to slam Ronaldo for his decision on the free-kick. Del Piero and the great Fabio Capello too got into the act after the Bianconeri were knocked out.

Del Piero said, "Cristiano must take some blame, of course. He did not have many chances but he wasted that header that we should have taken advantage of."

Capello stated, "Cristiano must take some blame, of course. He did not have many chances but he wasted that header that we should have taken advantage of."
