Former Barcelona star, Adriano has revealed that he is eager to see club icon, Lionel Messi sign a new contract with the Catalan giants and that it would be a "dream" to see Pep Guardiola return to the Nou Camp in the near future.
Messi's future at the club is up in the air considering that his current contract expires at the end of the season, with the striker yet to agree to new terms with the Catalan giants. While the club hierarchy are keen to hold on to their greatest ever player, the 33-year-old has remained mum on his future and will only make a decision once the season is completed.
The Brazilian who spent six seasons at the Nou Camp, believes it would be a dream to see Messi and Guardiola reunite at the club.
"I don't know anything about Leo, all I know is that he has three games left and we don't know anything else, but hopefully Messi stays. It would be a dream for Pep to return to Barca, a dream of the fans and the people of the club. When Pep left he needed a change of scenery, to try other things, but now his doors are open, without a doubt," he told RAC1.
"He is one of the best coaches I have ever had and in the world of football. I hope he comes back and that people enjoy it."
With Guardiola experiencing major success with Manchester City and it is unlikely that he will leave the Premier League anytime soon, and it will be interesting to see what Messi eventually decides to do come the end of the season.
