EA Sports recently announced the player ratings for the upcoming FIFA 22 edition, with the game one of the most popular ones in the world, with a not only fans playing the game but even players too are known to be big fans of the game.
The ratings are known to be a source of speculation among the players themselves and, here we take a look five top players who were unhappy with their FIFA 22 ratings.
1. Kevin De Bruyne
Kevin De Bruyne has established himself as the best midfielder in the world over the past three years, and while he was naturally not displeased with a rating of 91, the same as Cristiano Ronaldo - the Belgian was not too pleased with his pace stats.
"Zina is not quicker than me," the Belgian claimed in an interview, which goes to prove his point.
2. Riyad Mahrez
Another top Manchester City player who was not happy with his overall FIFA rating was Riyad Mahrez. The Algerian was given an overall rating of 86, which is quite good - though not good enough for the attacker, who took to Twitter to express his unhappiness with an eye-roll and thinking emoji on his card.
3. Declan Rice
Declan Rice over the past year has proved why he is considered to be one of the best English youngsters, though the midfielder was not too stoked on seeing his pace stats on FIFA 22.
"I'm not slow. Mate, I'm convinced they just sit at a computer and they're just bored writing a thousand players and they just go: 'he's a sixty-something'." he told fellow England team-mate, Jack Grealish.
4. Olivier Giroud
AC Milan star, Olivier Giroud is not known for his speed on the field but upon hearing that he had been given a 39 rating for pace, the former Chelsea striker responded by stating: "Impossible! My three-year-old son's got more than 39 pace."
5. Kalvin Phillips
Nicknamed by the fans as "Yorkshire Pirlo" in homage to Italy legend, Andrea Pirlo, Kalvin Philips is another young England midfielder who has starred in the recent past.
The 25-year-old when asked to explain why he wasn't happy on his discovering his FIFA 22 rating, the midfielder claimed that he was not too happy with his overall rating and was hoping for either 82 or 83 instead.
