Argentina icon, Lionel Messi is widely considered as the greatest player in the history of football, with the striker winning numerous professional and individual honours during his career so far, including a record six Ballon d'Or awards.
Messi has been his usual brilliant self at the ongoing 2021 Copa America, scoring four goals - the most for any player at the tournament while also registering four assists as he has led Argentina to the semi-final.
The 34-year-old's exploits at the Copa America has led Argentina manager, Lionel Scaloni to claim that even the opposition teams enjoy watching the superstar in action.
“The best thing that can happen to us as football fans is to enjoy Messi. I think even rivals enjoy him. We are talking about the best player of all time," Scaloni told Cat Radio.
The players contract situation has been a source of speculation considering that his contract with Barcelona expired on July 1, though he has not let that affect him as seen by his performances for his country at the Copa America.
Messi will next be seen in action on July 7 when he leads his country against Colombia in the semi-final of the Copa America which will take place at the Estadio Nacional Mane Garrincha stadium in Brazil.
