One of the biggest games of the EURO 2020 Group stage will take place at the Allianz Arena on Tuesday night when France and Germany clash in their Group F fixture on Tuesday night.

The 2014 and 2018 World champions usually meet in the knockout stages of the competition but will locks horns in this edition's Group of death. France and Germany are traditional rivals in Europe and have met 31 times across all competitions.

Les Blues lead 14-10 in the head-to-head record and 7 games have ended in a draw. While most of their encounters have been friendly fixtures, four of their last six meetings have been at major international tournaments.

Their last meeting at the EURO finals came in 2016 when Antoine Griezmann's brace helped France move into the final with a 2-0 victory.

France have a fully fit squad at the moment. Thomas Lemar and Chelsea's Kurt Zouma are the only doubts for Didier Deschamps ahead of the crucial fixture.

Die Mannschaft have a few injury concerns ahead of the mid-week showdown. Bayern Munich star Leon Goretzka is ruled out with a thigh injury and Jonas Hoffman is struggling with a knee injury. Lukas Klostermann is a doubt with a knee problem as well.

France vs Germany prediction

The two teams are loaded with talent and a great squad at the moment. Germany have not played a lot of competitive fixtures with the current crop of players while France have not made a lot of changes to their playing XI in recent times.

France are the favourites here on account of great recent form and one of the most in-form front three in the competition. Germany's home advantage might be a huge advantage for them, but they could fall short of keeping a check on the French team.

Our Prediction: France 2-1 Germany
