The Norwegian has been strongly linked with a move to Stamford Bridge ahead of the new season following a stunning season for the Bundesliga giants last term. Dortmund have been adamant that they will not sell him, and Haaland seems to have indicated that he will be staying put at least for now.
The striker took to Twitter to confirm that he begun pre-season training with Marco Rose's side. "Day one," the 20-year-old wrote on social media, before adding: "Ready for the journey."
Haaland missed the club fitness tests on Monday, with Dortmund sporting Michael Zorc jokingly claiming that he was "already in England" after it was rumoured that Chelsea were reportedly preparing a big-money offer for the 20-year-old.
Ex-Dortmund captain and soon to be sporting director Sebastian Kehl told Sky Germany: "There is nothing new on this matter. He is in our plans. Erling will return this week and he will be very hungry. He wants to play football, he feels comfortable with us and he will be eager to score many goals."
