Juventus coach Andrea Pirlo reportedly called Edin Dzeko to convince the AS Roma striker to move to Turin with the lure of a potential Cristiano Ronaldo partnership.

Pirlo recently confirmed that he no longer wants to include Gonzalo Higuain in his future plans, and Juventus are in the market for a new striker.

According to multiple sources, Roma have made Dzeko available for €12m, but the Bosnia international is undecided on his future, and does not want to get wrapped in transfer discussions.

Speaking in an interview with the Italian TV channel Rai Sport, Dzeko, however, was reluctant to discuss his future.

“Every year there’s talk about me leaving Roma,” he stated.

He added, “It’s not the right time to talk about the transfer market, I focus on these games, and then we’ll see. The possibility of playing with Cristiano Ronaldo at 34? I can say that I’m 34 years old, that I feel good, and that I’m proud of this.”

The 24-year old Bosnian bagged 19 goals across and registered 14 assists across all competitions last season while helping Roma qualify for the Europa League.

Juventus are in more advanced negotiations for Barcelona's Luis Suarez who is trying to work out an exit from Barcelona, demanding some sort of severance payment for terminating the contract early, at which point he’ll be a free agent to choose his next club.
