Eden Hazard has been subject to a rather bizarre bid from Fenerbahce who want to bring in the Real Madrid winger on loan.

Hazard arrived at Madrid amid much fanfare, but failed to live up to the hype, as injuries have kept him sidelined for most months. While Zinedine Zidane continues to back the Belgian, reports claim that Los Blancos are growing frustrated with the former Chelsea man.

According to Ajansspor (h/t Sport), Fenerbache are willing to offer Hazard a way out by offering to bring him to Turkey on a short-term loan. The club are on the verge of signing Mesut Ozil from Arsenal, and Hazard is another name on their wishlist.

The chances of Hazard leaving on a loan are incredibly slim, but it is worth noting the 30-year-old has talked about playing for Fenerbahce in the past. That's according to the club's former president Cetinkaya who told Ajansspor in the summer of 2019.

Cetinkaya said: "Hazard is an old friend and friend of mine. I’ve known since the age of 15-16. At that time he was playing in Lille. He had a great sympathy for Fenerbahçe. He has a word for me too. He said, ‘Hasan, I will play in Fenerbahçe one day. We don’t know when it will happen.

“He was 16 years old when he played in Lille and I watched the PSG game. It was evident even at that age. At the time we spoke, there were Eden Hazard, Gervinho and Sow. We were only able to get Sow from there.

“In Eden Hazard, it went into a different dimension. He received offers from the most important clubs in Europe. He was one of Europe’s biggest talented star candidates. He would love to come to Fenerbahçe back then. Let’s see time will tell. Hazard wears Fenerbahçe jersey one day.”
