FC Goa have become the Durand Cup 2021 winners as they defeated Mohammedan Sporting 1-0 in the final.

Edu Bedia won the game, which had seen little goal-mouth action, for FC Goa as he bagged the winner in the 105th minute of the match, firing home a free-kick.

The victory also means FC Goa have won the Durand Cup for the first time in the club's history, and here we recap what happened in the tournament.

Earlier in the tournament, 16 teams were divided into four groups of four teams each. Here are the groups:

Group A: Indian Air Force Football Team (Indian Air Force), Mohammedan Sporting Club (Mohammedan SC), CRPF, FC Bengaluru United (FCBU).

Group B: Jamshedpur FC, Sudeva Delhi, FC Goa, Army Green Football Team (Army Green).

Group C: Delhi FC, Indian Navy Football Team (Indian Navy), Kerala Blasters, Bengaluru FC.

Group D: Assam Rifles Football Team (Assam Rifles), Army Red Football Team (Army Red), Hyderabad FC, Gokulam Kerala


The group stage games will go on until September 19 with the knockouts begining on September 23.
