Manchester United and Portugal right-back Diogo Dalot has named his compatriot and Juventus superstar Cristiano Ronaldo as football's GOAT.

Ronaldo is widely regarded as one of the greatest footballers ever, with the Portuguese international having dominated the footballing world alongside a certain Lionel Messi for well over a decade.

And, Dalot believes Ronaldo, who is still among the best in the world and recently won the Euro 2020 Golden Boot, is the greatest footballer of all time.

"The GOAT [greatest of all time], for me, I would say CR7, Cristiano [Ronaldo]," Dalot told OneFootball [via Mirror].

Meanwhile, Dalot named World Cup as the trophy he would most like to win. "I think winning a World Cup with your country would have a special feeling, so I would choose World Cup," he said.

Dalot was also asked about the best player he has played alongside, and the 22-year-old gave a rather surprising answer as he named his Man Utd teammate Juan Mata.

Dalot said: "I would say El Mago, Juan Mata [best player he's worked with]."

Meanwhile, Dalot, who spent the last season on loan at AC Milan, could return to the Italian side this summer, with reports suggesting the latter are keen on signing him on another loan with an option to buy.
