Juventus superstar, Cristiano Ronaldo did not have the best of nights during their 2-1 loss to Porto in the round of 16 first leg of the Champions League on Wednesday and the striker showed his frustration after he was denied a penalty in the final moments of the game.

The Serie A champions found themselves trailing by two goals in the 46th minute and were given a lifeline by Federico Chiesa in the 82nd minute after he scored to ensure that the Bianconeri have a chance going into the second leg.

Just before the final whistle, Ronaldo brought down the ball in the box and then flicked it backwards before colliding with Porto defender Zaidu Sanusi. The 36-year-old went to ground immediately and appealed for a penalty but it was ignored by the referee who decided it was not serious enough to warrant a penalty.

The decision was checked by VAR but Ronaldo was adjudged to have already been going to ground before the challenge from Zaidu came in, and this did not go down well with Ronaldo who was seen arguing his case with the official at the end of the game.

Juventus manager, Andrea Pirlo too was seen approaching the referee at full-time, with the Italian legend looking perplexed at the officials decision not to award a penalty. Pirlo for his part will be hoping that his side put on a better performance in the second leg as their elimination could see Ronaldo decide to leave the club for greener pastures.
