Juventus superstar, Cristiano Ronaldo has been rested for the Bianconeri's Serie A clash against Benevento, with club manager, Andrea Pirlo deciding to give his star a break following a busy international break and return to club action.
The 35-year-old played all three of Portugal's games during the international break, while also appearing in both of Juventus' subsequent games where he starred, bagging a brace in their win over Cagliari and scoring another goal in Tuesday's 2-1 victory over Ferencvaros in the Champions League to help them seal a spot in the knockout stages.
Ronaldo has so far played eight games this month, with Pirlo confirming that he will play no part in their upcoming Serie A game while confirming that this most important player is not suffering from any injury issues.
"Cristiano Ronaldo will take an agreed rest session because he was a bit tired after so many games, It was planned that he would not come to Benevento," the Italian legend confirmed in a press conference.
Despite remaining unbeaten in the Serie A, Juventus find themselves placed fourth due to the four games that they have drawn out of the eight played. Pirlo's side have secured 16 points so far, four behind current leaders, AC Milan.
