Footballing superstar, Cristiano Ronaldo's sister, Elma dos Santos Aveiro took to social networking site, Instagram to hit out at the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) decision that denied Juventus a victory against Udinese in their opening Serie A game on Sunday.

Ronaldo who started on the bench, came on later in the second half to head what he thought was the winning goal during stoppage time. However, his goal was disallowed for offside following a VAR check, with the referee even going on to book the striker for celebrating by removing his shirt.

This decision did not go down well with his sister who responded furiously on Instagram by stating, "Had you had my shoulder, you would have been onside. You need to replace the large size with medium. The robbery begins."

The 36-year-old's absence from the starting XI has led to further speculation considering that his current contract with the club expires at the end of the season and that he has been linked with a number of top European clubs.

Juventus manager, Massimiliano Allegri however confirmed after the game that it was his decision to leave the star striker on the bench and that there were no issues with the player regarding his future and fitness.
