Footballing superstar, Cristiano Ronaldo's mother, Dolores Aveiro was pictured travelling to Italy to support her son in last night's Coppa Italia final between Juventus and Atalanta and has done so carrying a Sporting CP flag.

Aveiro who is big supporter of Sporting who became Portuguese champions last week for the first time in 19 years, recently revealed that she would try and convince her son to return to his home country and boyhood club, who he represented from the age of 12 to 18.

"I'll speak to him, he'll be at Sporting next year, I'll convince him," Aveiro told TVI24 amidst the title celebrations.

Ronaldo's agent, Jorge Mendes for his part rubbished claims that his superstar client will make a return to Portugal in the summer by stating that his "path does not go there".

"Cristiano is proud of the title Sporting won, as he has shown publicly. But, for now, his plans don't include Portugal," he said last week.

Juventus' poor season by their usual high standards have led to speculation that the 36-year-old will end his association with them, with the likes of Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester United and Sporting themselves being linked with his signature.

Ronaldo has been his usual brilliant self in front of goal this season, scoring 36 goals in 44 games in all competitions with the Bianconeri set to travel to Bologna on Saturday as they hope to secure Champions League qualification on the final Serie A matchday.
