Manchester United's hopes of securing a return of one of the greatest players in their club history have reportedly taken a hit with Cristiano Ronaldo understood to be tempted by a move to Paris Saint-Germain from Juventus in the summer.
Ronaldo's future at Turin has come under intense speculation following the club's poor performance in the 2020/21 season where Andrea Pirlo's men lost their title to Inter Milan while also getting knocked out of the Champions League in the round of 16 by Porto.
Despite their struggles, the 36-year-old was his usual brilliant self in front of goal, scoring 29 goals in the league to finish as the leading goalscorer, ahead of the likes of Romelu Lukaku - with the striker also being named by the Serie A as the Best striker of the recently concluded season.
United are understood to be in the hunt for a complete goalscorer and while Ronaldo will fit the bill despite being 36 at the moment, La Stampa claim that he is more tempted by a move to Paris. Juventus for their part are willing to listen to offers that include Mauro Icardi in a swap deal, considering that the Argentinian has struggled for gametime in Paris.
It will be interesting to see where Ronaldo does eventually land up, considering that he is a proven goalscorer who is able to determine the fate of a match by his genius.
