Juventus hitman Cristiano Ronaldo is said to be dreaming of a transfer back to Spanish giants Real Madrid in the near future.

Despite his incredible goalscoring stats at Juventus, Ronaldo is said to be suffering under Andrea Pirlo's management and he worries with regards to how he fits into a side that wants to play at a high tempo as his game focuses more and more on goalscoring.

Juventus are currently ten points behind Serie A leaders Inter Milan and are involved in a major scrap for a Champions League spot.

Should Juventus fail to finish in the top four of the league, they will find it extremely difficult to sustain Ronaldo's wages for the next season.

Considering all these factors, journalist Fabrizio Romano, writing in his column for Benchwarmers, has revealed that the Portuguese is open to a move this summer, perhaps as a result of this situation.

According to Romano, "His agent Jorge Mendes has a meeting scheduled with Juventus in May for the choice, Cristiano still has a year of contract with the Bianconeri but everything is possible."

And now, apparently, Ronaldo dreams of returning to Real Madrid. There is one problem with this though, Real Madrid may not have that much interest in signing a 36-year-old on huge wages that they got rid of not that long ago.

Romano says: "So far, however, no signals from Florentino Perez have arrived and there is no advanced negotiation in this sense."
