Cristiano Ronaldo has named the Euro Cup he won with Portugal in 2016 as the most important trophy he has won in his life.
Portugal became European champions for the first time in their history as they beat France 1-0 in the final, with Eder scoring the winning goal and Ronaldo watching on from sidelines after he had been substituted in the 25th minute of the match after picking up an injury.
Ronaldo recalls he experienced 'three types of feelings and emotions in that game', while also revealing the Euro 2016 title is probably the most important of all he has won in his life.
Speaking as an Official Global Brand Ambassador for LiveScore, Ronaldo said [via Goal]: "The start of the UEFA European Football Championship 2016 was going well for me but then I was sad because I got injured [in the final vs France],
"By the end of the match I was crying with happiness! I experienced three types of feelings and emotions in that game, but at the end of the day it was unbelievable what I felt!
"It is probably the most important trophy that I’ve won in my life."
Meanwhile, Ronaldo and Portugal go into the Euro 2020, which is slated to start on June 11, as the defending champions, and will be looking to retain the title.
