Cristiano Ronaldo left Juventus training on Wednesday with an arm injury, and the Portuguese superstar will be assessed ahead of Old Lady's clash with Empoli in Serie A later this week.
According to reports, the 36-year-old was injured after a challenge from Alex Sandro during the training, and was subsequently accompanied off the pitch by the club's medics.
Ronaldo recently made headlines when he was not included in the Juventus starting XI for their opening game of the Serie A 2021/22 season. It was claimed Ronaldo requested Juventus not to start him against Udinese, though Massimiliano Allegri later insisted it was his decision to bench the Portuguese attacker.
Ronaldo did come on as a substitute in the second half of the match, and thought he had scored a late winner for Juventus to seal a 3-2 victory, but VAR ruled it out for offside.
Meanwhile, Ronaldo has been linked with an exit from Juventus this summer, but the Serie A side are yet to receive any bids for the former Real Madrid star. Man City have been mooted as a potential destination, and with top target Harry Kane having confirmed he will stay at Tottenham Hotspur this season, the defending Premier League champions may be keen on Ronaldo. However, it remains to be seen if any deal will come to fruition before the transfer window slams shut.
