Chelsea are reportedly planning to sell five players in order to fund a move for former striker Romelu Lukaku.

Lukaku spent three years at Stamford Bridge but spent most of his time on loan at West Brom and Everton. Permanent spells at Everton and Manchester United followed before the Belgian eventually moved to Inter in 2019.

According to The Sunday World, Thomas Tuchel is keen to bring Lukaku back to Stamford Bridge, and has named five players he's willing to part with to add funds to his transfer kitty.

The Irish publication claims that Kepa Arrizabalaga, Callum Hudson-Odoi, Tammy Abraham, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, and Ross Barkley are reportedly the five names on the chopping block. Kepa has been linked with an exit from Chelsea since last summer, while Loftus-Cheek and Barkley have spent the past season on-loan at Fulham and Aston Villa, respectively.

Inter need to lower their wage bill by 15-20 percent this summer and could be tempted into selling their star player due to their bleak financial situation. Lukaku was in excellent goalscoring form in the 2020-21 Serie A season as he scored an impressive 30 times in 44 appearances in all competitions.
