Chelsea are reportedly looking to make an attempt on trying to get Romelu Lukaku back to Stamford Bridge with TuttoMercatoWeb revealing that Blues owner, Roman Abramovich continues to remain a big fan of the striker.
Lukaku joined Chelsea back in 2011 and while he spent three years on their books, the majority of the time was spent on loan first to West Bromwich Albion and Everton - post which he eventually moved permanently to the latter club.
While it is understood that Borussia Dortmund striker, Erling Haaland remains Chelsea's number one target, Abramovich is keen to get the Belgian back and has sent his son out to Italy to try and persuade Lukaku to return to London. Abramovich Jr is currently in Milan on a business trip, with the main aim believed to be sealing a deal for the Inter Milan star.
The 28-year-old for his part has established himself as one of the best strikers in the world during his time in the Serie A as he netted 24 goals in the league last season to lead Inter to their first top-flight title in over a decade.
His form has seen him become a target for a number of top clubs, though Inter have confirmed that they will not sell Lukaku in the summer and that the Belgian is happy in Italy at the moment.
