Chelsea reportedly believe that they can land Erling Haaland this summer, with club owner Roman Abramovich ready to splash some serious cash on the Borussia Dortmund star.

The Champions League winners are keen to bolster their striking department and close the gap with Premier League champions, Manchester City. Haaland is one of the most sought-after players in Europe today, but Dortmund have insisted time and again that they are not keen on parting ways with their key striker.

However, according to ESPN, Chelsea are favourites to land the Norwegian for they believe they have the most attractive Premier League package to offer Haaland. Along with the money, the report adds that Chelsea's position as a squad brimming with expensive young talent is another selling point they can offer to lure top talent to Stamford Bridge.

Duncan Castles reported yesterday that Haaland is reportedly expecting to complete a shock move to Chelsea from Dortmund this summer. The 20-year-old is one of the most sought-after players in world football, having scored an incredible 40 goals in 43 games in the Bundesliga over the last 18 months.

Castles claims Haaland expects to be playing at Stamford Bridge next summer, despite being contracted to Dortmund until 2024 and a reported release clause of £66million which comes into effect next summer.
