Chelsea have reportedly made contact with Borussia Dortmund and Inter as they look to tie up transfers for both Erling Haaland and Achraf Hakimi this summer.

Thomas Tuchel is keen on boost his side in an effort to match Manchester City, and has told the club he will need to spend this transfer window to bridge the gap with the Premier League winners.

Haaland has been linked with a move to a number of top European clubs, including City, Manchester United, Liverpool, and Real Madrid, but Chelsea look set to break their club record with a bid for Haaland and Hakimi.

According to Goal, Tuchel's side have contacted Hakimi's agent, Alejandro Camano, over a potential deal ahead of next season. The report claims that the Blues are reportedly willing to pay £56m for the defender, but Inter, who are dealing with financial difficulties, are thought to value him closer to £70m.

Hakimi has also been linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain, however, Camano played down those links, but admitted that the Moroccan's future is in doubt. He said: “There is no negotiation underway with PSG, at the moment there is nothing. He is fine with Inter. Am I optimistic about him remaining at the club? This is difficult to say.”

Haaland and Hakimi played together at Dortmund before the latter left for Inter, and the 28-year-old was full of praises for his former team-mate. “When you have an attacker like him, a goalscorer who scores a lot, who lives for that, it helps enormously,” said the Milan defender in an interview with Tele Foot.

"We hope that he will continue to score for a long time like that. It is good for the team and he wants to finish as top scorer in the competition (Champions League)."
