Carlo Ancelotti wants Real Madrid to consider signing Manchester United defender Diogo Dalot this summer.

Dalot spent last season on loan at Milan and returned to Old Trafford, but could be on his way out of the club again. According to AS, Ancelotti is keen on bringing the Portugal international to the Santiago Bernabeu as a backup for Dani Carvajal and Alvaro Odriozola.

The 22-year-old was a part of Portugal's squad during Euro 2020 and featured in games against France and Belgium. He signed for United in 2018 but failed to break into the first team and win regular playing minutes.

In his first two seasons, he made just 35 appearances, however, featured 33 times for Milan last season. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer already has Luke Shaw Alex Telles to call upon at left-back, while only Aaron Wan-Bissaka can fill in at right-back. The Red Devils are looking to bring in reinforcements this summer, following Jadon Sancho's imminent arrival.

Atletico Madrid's Kieran Trippier continues to remain on United's radar, and his signing could pave the way for Dalot's move to Madrid. Ancelotti recommended Dalot when he was in charge of Everton, and is keen on bringing him to Spain.
