Manchester United star, Bruno Fernandes has joked that he would win the Ballon d'Or award if he had the pace of club team-mate, Marcus Rashford as it is that attribute that would really like to have if he had the chance.
Fernandes who moved to Old Trafford from Sporting CP in January 2020, has established himself as the talisman at the club and their best player. The Portugese midfielder has been one of United's best signings in recent memory, with the 26-year-old becoming the player through which all of their attacking play goes through.
However, the midfielder has stated that he is looking to improve and would like to have had the pace of Rashford.
"I don't know honestly as we have so many qualities in the team. I think I'm not the slowest player in the world, but if I would have the pace of Rashy, honestly, I would be a Ballon d'Or award winner already," he said during a fans Q&A.
Fernandes' performances have been a key part why United find themselves in the Europa League final and placed second in the Premier League, with the midfielder scoring 28 goals in 56 appearances in all competitions so far.
