Boomers legend opens up on his experience of sharing a flight with Lionel Messi

Boomers champion, David Andersen has open up on the time he shared a flight with football icon, Lionel Messi, revealing that it was "great to share a flight with the record seven-time Ballon d'Or award winner".
Anderson, who was playing for Barcelona in the EuroLeague at the time, had the pleasure of meeting Messi, a seven-time Ballon d'Or winner, when the football and basketball teams shared a flight on one occasion.
"We were fortunate enough to get on the plane with the guys one time. We got back from a tournament in Madrid, and they were playing Real Madrid as well, so the management told us, ‘Instead of catching a tram, we’re going with the football team’. We get to fly with the big boys," he told SEN’s This Is Your Journey – thanks to Tobin Brothers.
Lionel Messi is absurd. Not a human.

“It was good. We intermingled a bit and we had some good laughs. I got to meet Messi. He’s not the tallest of guys, but it was fun to say hello. It was great to share a flight with him and have a bit of a chat.”
The 41-year-old is a very well known figure in his sport despite announcing his retirement from basketball last October, winning 22 championships/cups across a career that spanned 23 years.
