Silva has fallen down the pecking order, behind Phil Foden, Ilkay Gundogan, Raheem Sterling, Riyad Mahrez, and Kevin De Bruyne, and according to Duncan Castles, Silva isn't happy with his role at the Etihad, and could possibly look for a move this summer.
Atletico have already reportedly offered Saul Niguez to City in exchange for Silva, according to the Times. The report claimed that both players are unhappy at their respective clubs, and Diego Simeone's side would be willing to let Niguez leave for around £60m, close to what City paid Monaco for Silva in 2017.
Earlier this month, a report from The Telegraph claimed that Pep Guardiola's side were open to selling Silva as they want to replace him with a pure goalscorer, especially after the departure of Sergio Aguero to Barcelona. City have been credited with an interest in Borussia Dortmund star Erling Haaland, and funds from Bernardo's sale could be invested in a move for the 20-year-old.
