Barcelona Target Premier League Striker Pair as Lionel Messi Replacement

Barcelona are reportedly monitoring Arsenal duo Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette as they look to replace Lionel Messi at Camp Nou.
Messi joined Paris Saint-Germain as a free agent after failing to sign a new contract with Barca, who are now looking to sign a new forward to replace their long-serving captain.
According to Sport, Ronald Koeman is looking to sign a new striker this summer, and Aubmeyang and Lacazette are among his top targets.

However, the report claims that the LaLiga giants would only be able to make a move if Martin Braithwaite is sold for a significant price. Barcelona have previously expressed an interest in both Aubameyang and Lacazette, but their financial situation means they will need to lighten their wage bills before being able to trigger either Gunners' star's release clause.
The report also adds that the strikers are open to a move this transfer window. Lacazette has been linked with a move away from the Emirates throughout the summer, while Aubameyang also reportedly failed to impress Mikel Arteta during pre-season, and could be on the move.
Barca have already brought in Sergio Aguero from Manchester City but a calf injury has him ruled out for 10 weeks, and Koeman needs to add a striker to his side, who kicked off the new LaLiga season with a 4-2 win over Real Sociedad on Sunday.
