Barcelona have not had the best of times on and of the field in recent times and it got even worse on Saturday with the Catalan giants losing 1-0 to Atletico Madrid in LaLiga to endure another disappointing night.
The Catalan giants have suffered another setback after it emerged that key player, Gerard Pique will be on the sidelines for four to six months after suffering a horrendous injury knee injury on the night after being forced off during the game.
Pique bent his knee and could be seen in tears after hobbling off during the game with the club management even confirming on social networking platform, Twitter that the Spaniard will miss a chunk of the season.
Sergi Roberto was another who suffered an injury and the Catalans manager, Ronald Koeman confirmed after the game that the injuries to two important players was worrying.
"The injuries of Piqué and Sergi Roberto are worrying me. We look forward to seeing the results after tomorrow to know how long they will be out for," he said as per Barca Universal.
The loss on the night meant that Barcelona are placed 10th on the league table with 11 points from eight games, eight behind joint leaders, Atletico and Real Sociedad.
