Barcelona are reportedly set to offload three defenders as they look to reduce their massive wage bill ahead of the new season.

The club are looking to drastically reduce their wage bill in order to comply with LaLiga's strict salary cap as they prepare a new offer for Lionel Messi. A number of players, including Antoine Griezmann, have been linked with an exit from Camp Nou as the LaLiga giants look to balance their books.

According to SPORT, Clement Lenglet, Sergino Dest, and Samuel Umtiti could also be on their way out of the club in the coming few days. Lenglet started 29 games for Barca in LaLiga last season, but failed to impress during his time at the club.

With Eric Garcia's arrival this summer, Lenglet will drop down lower on the pecking order, and has been linked with moves to Arsenal and Tottenham. Bayern Munich have been linked with Dest, as well as Inter, who are looking for a replacement for Achraf Hakimi.

However, Umtiti might prove difficult to offload as the defender does not want to leave the club nor does he want to lower his wages. Lyon, his former club, are interested in re-signing him, but might have to settle for a loan owing to his hefty price tag.
