FC Barcelona coach Ronald Koeman has suggested the club is likely to start the new season with the same group of players they have now for pre-season.
The newly-appointed coach also revealed the club must sell before they can buy Memphis Depay, who has been linked with a move to the Catalan outfit this summer. This comes after Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas claimed Barca cannot afford to buy Depay.
"We're working towards the new season and I think we will go into it with the same group of players that we have now for pre-season." Koeman said, suggesting additions to the squad are unlikely to be made before the season kick-starts.
Barca have been linked with moves for a number of players, including Georginio Wijnaldum from Premier League champions Liverpool, Thiago Alcantara from Bayern Munich, Lautaro Martinez from Inter Milan.
Koeman and the Blaugrana will be hoping they can seal deals for a few players before the transfer window slams shut on October 5th, as the club looks to bounce back from what was a disappointing campaign last term.
