Barcelona reportedly think Ousmane Dembele has been holding talks with Manchester United and Liverpool over a potential transfer, despite having a deal in principle with the player.

Dembele has suffered from a lack of form and injuries have kept him from regularly playing for the LaLiga giants. With his contract set to expire at the end of the current season, Ronald Koeman's side believed they had a deal in principle with the 24-year-old.

However, according to Cuatro, the club think that Dembele has been speaking with other clubs even before the January transfer window opens. The Spanish outlet reports that Barca believe the player's agent has already held talks with United and Liverpool "behind their back".

The report also adds that Dembele's agent has spoken to Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus about a potential summer transfer.

Both United and Liverpool have been linked with the Frenchman in the past, and the Red Devils considered the forward as a potential alternative to Jadon Sancho after Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side missed out on signing the player in 2020.

Dembele was also named as a potential swap option for Manchester City while Barca eyed a move for Raheem Sterling.
