Luis Suarez fired Diego Simeone's side to a first LaLiga title in seven years last season, scoring 21 goals, and their beat rivals Real Madrid by two points to snag the title on the final day.
According to ESPN (via Daily Mail), Simeone believes Lacazette can bolster his attack next season. The Gunners are happy to cash in on the Frenchman, who has one year remaining on his contract.
Simeone has been a long-term admirer of Lacazette, and even agreed a fee with Lyon to sign the striker back in 2017. But FIFA slapped Atletico with a transfer ban, leading to Arsenal swooping in for the Frenchman for a club record £46m.
Lacazette's future has been the subject of much discussion over the last season, especially with the emergence of youngsters, Gabriel Martinelli and Folarin Balogun. Arsenal have been heavily linked with a swoop for Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham, and could use the money from Lacazette's transfer to bring in new faces ahead of the new season.
