Atletico Madrid captain Koke has hailed goalkeeper Jan Oblak after beating Manchester United 1-0 at Old Trafford in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday.

Renan Lodi scored the only goal of the game just before half-time as Atletico progressed to the quarter-final of the Champions League by defending their advantage.

Koke believes Atletico deserved to win the tie, but revealed that goalkeeper Jan Oblak was a key performer for the team.

"We deserved the win in the first leg, but fought so hard here to get what we deserved from this tie," Koke said.

"We want to go far in the competition and it's incredible to still be in it. It's important for us to still be in the Champions League in what's an up-and-down season.

"For me, Jan Oblak is the best goalkeeper in the world. He's shown it once again tonight."
