The Gunners will be facing a tough run of five games as they aim to end their indifferent start to the 2021-22 pre-season that already has Arsenal fans asking for more from this team.

Arteta's side started their pre-season with a 2-1 shock loss to Hibernian, leading to quite a big fan outrage on social media.

Things didn't get any better for them as they were then made to comeback from behind for each of their goals in their 2-2 draw against Steven Gerrard's Rangers side. They then beat Milwall 4-1 before ending their pre-season with games with a 1-2 loss against Chelsea followed by a 1-0 loss to Tottenham Hotspur in the pre-season North London derby courtesy of Son's goal.

All of these matches can be watched LIVE on Arsenal's official website.

Players involved in pre-season

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette are the only two big first team players expected to play a full-part in pre-season this summer.

Nicolas Pepe and Thomas Partey too will hope to get majority of the action in pre-season along with Hector Bellerin, Rob Holding, Emile Smith Rowe, Pablo Mari, Willian, Willock, Reiss Nelson, Elneny, Nketiah, Cedric and Folarin Balogun.

Tierney, who returned early from the Euro 2020 too will hope to play a part in pre-season.

U-23 squad players Omer Rekik and Jack Henry-Francis too have been given a chance by Arteta.

Leno and Xhaka are still on holiday post Euro 2020 while Saka will also be taking a prolonged break. The same goes for Lucas Torreira.
