Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing Manchester City duo Raheem Sterling and Riyad Mahrez this summer as Pep Guardiola plans to revamp his squad ahead of the new season.

Sterling lost his place in Guardiola’s starting line-up towards the end of last season, and according to the Daily Mail, could be on his way out of City, along with Mahrez, who could also be moved on to free up the wage bill.

City are reportedly keen on bringing Harry Kane and Jack Grealish, and the pair could cost Guardiola as much as £300million. The report also claims that Gabriel Jesus and centre back Aymeric Laporte could also face the axe.

Mikel Arteta, who was Guardiola's assistant at City before taking over at Arsenal, is reported to have an interest in both Sterling and Mahrez, after having worked with them both during his time at the Etihad.

Barcelona and Real Madrid have been linked with Sterling for a long time, and Arsenal's lack of European football next season might deter potential transfer targets from signing for the Gunners.
