Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is under tremendous pressure with regards to his job and rumours have already started linking other managers with the Old Trafford based club.

And according to Duncan Castles, Antonio Conte has been contacted by the Red Devils. However, the former Chelsea coach reportedly has two demands in order to take the job.

While Solskjaer's job at the club is safe for now, things could take an ugly turn in the coming weeks, especially owing to United's tough run of games in the Premier League and their form.

This situation has led to multiple rumours of different managers being linked with United, with Conte leading the line.

Speaking on Reach PLC's Transfer Window podcast, Castles said: "I think there are two obvious candidates in terms of coaches who have achieved at the top level of the game, who are out of work and would be available to Manchester United without compensation fees."

"One is Zinedine Zidane and one is Antonio Conte. Conte's position, I'm told, is that he is interested in the Manchester United job but not without restrictions.

"Antonio Conte, when he chooses his next club, wants a club where he can win the Champions League."

Conte left Inter Milan due to lack of support from the ownership to build his team. After claiming the Serie A title last season, he was told that the club's best players would be sold in order to limit the losses from the pandemic.
