Andy Robertson has brushed off claims of a bust-up with Alisson in the Liverpool dressing room following their 3-1 defeat by Leicester City in the Premier League. Liverpool's title defence isn't going the way they hoped it would, with a torrid run of form since the turn of the year, all but ending their hopes of retaining their title that took them 30 years to win.

There was also speculation that Jurgen Klopp was set to quit, and that Robertson and Alisson were involved in a fight, which left the former with a "burst lip". However, the Scotsman dismissed the speculation, but jokingly added that he would have rather have been portrayed as the winner of the fight.

“I don't look like the boxing type, do I?” Robertson told Sky Sports. “The least [likely] two people to fight in the dressing room are myself and Ali; I think people are sitting at home a bit bored. Obviously somebody made up a rumour that the gaffer didn't come home, whereas me and Ali were fighting.

“I love how I was the one who ended up with the burst lip. I would rather it was the other way about but beggars can't be choosers! The stuff that was getting written was a lot of nonsense. For the players and everyone in the training ground, we just need to block all that out."

Reports claimed that Robertson called out Alisson for his blunder for Leicester's second goal, where he completely missed his attempted clearance and allowed Jamie Vardy to walk the ball into an empty net.

Reds skipper Jordan Henderson took to social media after the game to laugh off claims of the fight, and said: "I don't think I even need to comment on something like that.

"Someone's sitting behind a keyboard making rumours about the managers or the players in the dressing room, it doesn't really need me to say anything about it. (They're) Not true, though I quite liked the rumour where Robbo and Ali were having a fight about something that made us chuckle a bit, but apart from that didn't give it much thought."
