Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola has hailed striker, Sergio Aguero - stating that the Argentinian conquered the Premier League, the same way that Lionel Messi did it in LaLiga and Diego Maradona in Serie A.

Aguero who is City's all-time highest goalscorer and the highest scoring foreign player in Premier League history with 181 goals will leave the club at the end of the season after the management confirmed on Monday that he will not be offered a new contract in the summer.

Guardiola who has seen the strikers brilliance up close since 2016, claimed that Aguero has etched his name in the leagues history just like his fellow countryman did in the other top leagues in Europe.

"Maradona conquered Italy, Messi did it in Spain, and Aguero has done it in England, his numbers speak for themselves. When you have that internal fire, play with that anger, his incredible talent comes out, he can win games on his own," he told ESPN.

The 32-year-old will go down as one of City's greatest players, netting a total of 254 goals in just 387 appearances for the club, leading them to four league titles and one FA Cup honour so far. As per ESPN, the Argentinian is attracting interest from the likes of Juventus, Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain after ruling out a return to boyhood club, Independiente.
