New Barcelona signing, Adama Traore reportedly follows the example of footballing superstar, Cristiano Ronaldo when it comes to diet and fitness as he looks to impress for the Catalan giants following his loan move in January.

According to Cadena SER, Traore puts in double training sessions from Monday to Thursday, which means that apart from his usual team training, he goes through a personalized regime in the afternoon.

Other than the physical work and training, the winger is also following a strict diet and it is understood that he has total control over what he eats by quantifying the products and adopting an elite diet chart. There was even a time that he thought of adapting a purely vegetarian diet but as it turned out, he is in need of meat protein to perform at the highest level on the field.

“If it were up to him, he would work twice as hard but it swells his body up and affects his speed,” a source close to the winger was quoted as saying by Cadena SER.

The 26-year-old who came through the famed La Masia academy, returned back to the Nou Camp in January after emerging as one of the most exciting wingers in the Premier League during his time with Wolves - for whom he made 154 appearances in four seasons.
