The group stages of the AFC Champions League (ACL) are scheduled to kick off from April 15, 2022 with all games taking place at a common venue.
The East zone group stage games will take place between April 15 to May 1 while the West zone clashes will be held from May 10 to May 26.
As for ISL champions Mumbai City FC, they will kick-off their AFC Champions League campaign in the group stages from May 10, 2022.
The Islanders will be making their debut in the continental club competition and will be the second Indian club ever to play in the group stages of the ACL after FC Goa featured therein earlier this year.
ATK Mohun Bagan, who ended up as runners-up last season in the ISL, will play their AFC Champions League play-off game on April 19, 2022.
The South Asian Zone group matches will be played at a centralised venue between May 18 and May 24.
Talking about the 2020/21 I-League champions Gokulam Kerala, the South-Indian side have earned a direct spot in the group stages of the AFC Cup in 2022. They will feature in the South Asia Zone along with Maldives league champions Maziya S&RC and the to-be-decided 2021 Bangladesh Premier League winners.
