Paris Saint-Germain are one of the richest clubs in the world and one who have dominated French football over the past decade as seen by the number of league titles and trophies they have won domestically.

The French giants are yet to make inroads in Europe, though they did reach the finals of the UEFA Champions League last season and under Mauricio Pochettino will look to win the trophy in the near future.

PSG have always been linked with a number of top players and here we take a look at their potential XI for the 2021/22 season if they manage to sign all their transfer targets.

1. Keylor Navas

It came as a surprise to many that Real Madrid let Keylor Navas leave in 2019, but their loss has been PSG's gain as the goalkeeper has been impressive in between the sticks for the club. The Costa Rican remains a very important player for the club and will need to be at his best if they are to win trophies in Europe.

2. Presnel Kimpembe

Presnel Kimpembe came through the PSG B team and has continued his impressive rise ever since making his senior professional debut for the club in 2014. The 25-year-old has established himself as a first-choice player for the club and will be expected to be the rock in defence for a number of years to come.

3. Marquinhos

Widely considered as one of the best defenders in the world, Marquinhos has established himself as the leader of the defence and at 26-years-old will get even better in years to come. However, with a number of top European clubs keen to sign him, it will be interesting to see whether the club can hold on to him in the near future.

4. Sergio Ramos

Sergio Ramos' current contract with Real Madrid expires in June 2021 and the fact with the Spaniard yet to agree to new terms with the Los Blancos has led to a number of clubs expressing an interest in signing him. There is no doubt that he is one of the best defenders in the history of the sport and would add that winning mentality and necessary experience to the PSG squad should they sign him.

5. Marco Verratti

A player who has been compared to Italy legend, Andrea Pirlo - Marco Verratti is the heartbeat of the side, with his skills in midfield extremely important to the way PSG play. The 28-year-old is the club's all-time appearance holder in the Champions League and will look to win the trophy very soon.

6. Leandro Paredes

Another young player who has impressed in PSG colours has been Leandro Paredes who has put in good performances ever since joining the club in January 2019. He is yet another player who will expected to be a key part of their future.

7. Dele Alli

Mauricio Pochettino is keen on reuniting with Dele Alli in Paris, with the England international emerging as PSG's main target this January transfer window. While Tottenham Hotspur are not too keen to loan their player, he will be a good addition to the French giants.

8. Christian Eriksen

Another former Tottenham player who has been linked with PSG is Christian Eriksen, who has fallen out of favour at Inter Milan - with the Serie A giants confirming that he is free to leave the club. The Danish star would be a good fit for the club and would provide them with that extra dose of creativity.

9. Neymar

The most expensive player in the world and one who has lived up to his billing has been Neymar, with the Brazilian scoring a staggering 80 goals in just 99 appearances for the club so far. He almost led them to the Champions League trophy last year and will look to go one step further soon.

10. Lionel Messi

The greatest player in the history of football becomes a free agent in the summer and PSG have expressed a major interest in signing the record six-time Ballon d'Or award winner. Imagine a frontline of Neymar, Messi and Kylian Mbappe? They would be unstoppable.

11. Kylian Mbappe

A player who is expected to take over the mantle of the best player in the world once Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo retire is Kylian Mbappe - who has already won a World Cup at the tender age of 22. The Frenchman has scored a staggering 104 goals in just 146 appearances for PSG and will become their all-time top goalscorer if he stays there for 2-3 seasons more.
